Arup wins design for Forth Bridge visitor centre
Arup has been picked by Network Rail to design a £15m visitor centre and 110m high viewing platform with spectacular views of the Forth Bridge and surrounding area.
The proposal is to develop detailed designs for a North Queensferry based visitor centre with a lift and a South Queensferry based facility for
bridge walkers. The visitor centre will include education and exhibition facilities, catering, Forth Bridge themed retail and function options.
Designs are to be delivered by the middle of next year prior to a submission being made to local authorities for planning consideration.
